Domestic Assault and prior arrest resolved with a non-criminal violation (Manhattan)

Client arrested for the second time for assaulting wife. In this case, possible felony charges loomed because it was claimed that our client engaged in choking, punching, shoving, and other violent behavior. Our client had a professional license which could have been lost if there was a conviction. Our client contacted us to see what could be done to work the case out in such a way as there would be no impact on the professional license. We successfully got the first case resolved with a violation and weren't sure if this could be done again. Case successfully resolved again with a non-criminal violation, no jail but some counseling.
