Leaving the scene of accident with bicycle dismissed in Manhattan

Our client was driving when our client allegedly hit a bicyclist that was riding along side our client and traveling in the same direction. Our client kept driving but was later identified due to a photo that was taken showing our client’s license plate. Our client was questioned by the police and gave a confession and afterwards reached out to us for help. When we met for a consultation in the office, we discussed the accident, the charges, and what it might take to get it worked out with no jail and no criminal record. After a few months of litigation, we noticed that the Manhattan prosecutor made a few mistakes that rose to the level of grounds for dismissal. After moving for a dismissal, the case was dismissed and sealed.
