Penn Station Exposure / lewdness charges dismissed for business consultant
2020
Our client was arrested inside Penn Station and for allegedly exposing himself to another person and this was witnessed by the arresting police officer. During questioning after the arrest, our client made a partial admission. Our client went to court with a different lawyer and was being asked to plead guilty, get a criminal record, and attend a sex offender program. Afterwards, he called us and asked for a second opinion. We met for a case evaluation and discussed our client’s concerns and goals for the outcome of the case. After being retained, we obtained our client’s file from his former lawyer and contacted the district attorney and asserted our client’s innocence. After fighting in court for several months, we were able to get his case resolved with a deal where he would plead guilty to a low-level violation but there would be no criminal record, no jail, and no sex offender program.
